This part of healing often goes unnamed...

You might be functioning again.
Showing up. Doing the things.

And yet, something still feels off.

Your body may be improving, but your system is still braced.
You might feel alert, cautious, disconnected, or unsure how to trust yourself again.

Many people in this phase tell me:​

“I should feel relieved, but I don’t.”​

“I don’t feel like the person I was before.”​​

“I’m better, but I’m not okay.”

This isn’t a failure to heal.
It’s a nervous system that spent a long time protecting you.

This is the space my work holds.

I’m Shaista, a Mindset & Embodiment Coach supporting people navigating chronic illnesses - especially those healing from Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW).
